Today I ran the 3k race.  I was feeling pretty good even though I was sick.  Me and Kaylee were the only ones doing it so we went and warmed up and all that jazz.  After waiting forever (because they were so behind scedhule) we got to race.  Everyone started out super slow and I felt awkward because I was in the front wondering where everyone was.  Eventually some UVU girl came up and we hit our pace right on so I just followed her for the first couple laps and then other girls came up with us.  The first mile felt really good but after that it started getting harder to keep with the pace.  Kaylee was right with me this whole time and passed me on our 10th lap or so and I followed her.  By the end I was just giving everything I had and came in not too far from Kaylee in 3rd place.  I felt like I really gave it my all but I could tell that I being sick took a lot out of me.  My time wasn't amazing, but it was my first 3k and I know that I can keep on improving as the season goes along.
