Ran our form mile then today we had high mileage plus 2.  So I went 10 miles.  I only had time to do 6 then I turned around and had to meet with one of my proffessors then when I got home Dayna was about to go running so I went and ran my last 4 with her.  I felt really good and my legs weren't tight or tired even though we've been bumping up our average speed.

Ran the form mile then today we had a speed workout.  We had 8x800's with 90 seconds of recovery.  The goal time for us to hit was 2:45-3:00 so it wasn't too bad...just after doing so many of them you get pretty worn down.  I kept pretty consisten through all of them even though I wasn't feeling quite up to par due to the fact that I ate two burritos right before I ran....yeah...bad idea.  But I didn't even throw up and I did my very best with what I could do.

Today we ran the Dikes run at just our normal pace.  I felt good but my calves got super tight so afterwards I got rubbed out and the guy who did it was super nice and actually did it gently then I took an ice bath and it felt a ton better!

So yesterday I got a super nasty sore throat and decided not to run so I could get rid of it as quickly as possible.  And today we drove up to Idaho for our meet and I was feeling a lot better.    Anyways, we ran a mile then did our pre-meet stuff and Kaylee and I (since we're both racing the 3k) did 2 400's then our starts. I felt super tired after doing that so I'm a tad nervous for how tomorrow is going to feel.  After pre-meet stuff and watching our team race a group of us got together and ran back to the hotel.

Today I ran the 3k race.  I was feeling pretty good even though I was sick.  Me and Kaylee were the only ones doing it so we went and warmed up and all that jazz.  After waiting forever (because they were so behind scedhule) we got to race.  Everyone started out super slow and I felt awkward because I was in the front wondering where everyone was.  Eventually some UVU girl came up and we hit our pace right on so I just followed her for the first couple laps and then other girls came up with us.  The first mile felt really good but after that it started getting harder to keep with the pace.  Kaylee was right with me this whole time and passed me on our 10th lap or so and I followed her.  By the end I was just giving everything I had and came in not too far from Kaylee in 3rd place.  I felt like I really gave it my all but I could tell that I being sick took a lot out of me.  My time wasn't amazing, but it was my first 3k and I know that I can keep on improving as the season goes along.
