Today I ran the 3k race.  I was feeling pretty good even though I was sick.  Me and Kaylee were the only ones doing it so we went and warmed up and all that jazz.  After waiting forever (because they were so behind scedhule) we got to race.  Everyone started out super slow and I felt awkward because I was in the front wondering where everyone was.  Eventually some UVU girl came up and we hit our pace right on so I just followed her for the first couple laps and then other girls came up with us.  The first mile felt really good but after that it started getting harder to keep with the pace.  Kaylee was right with me this whole time and passed me on our 10th lap or so and I followed her.  By the end I was just giving everything I had and came in not too far from Kaylee in 3rd place.  I felt like I really gave it my all but I could tell that I being sick took a lot out of me.  My time wasn't amazing, but it was my first 3k and I know that I can keep on improving as the season goes along.

Ran the form mile.  Then today we had a 50% run on high mileage plus 2.  So I was planning on running 10...but my sinuses got super bad as we went along and and I kept getting stomach aches on top of feeling unusually tired.  Pretty much my cold has gotten me pretty out of whack.  I'll keep taking all my medicine and hopefully I can get this thing gone soon!

Today I ran the warmup and asksed coach about my sore throat and he sent me home so I could get better.  I was honestly really bummed to go and leave my team for the workout by themselves.

So the past two days I took off so I could get feeling better.  And I feel tons better!  So today we had a workout.  We ran 2 laps of warmup and then went right into 2 laps at 80% which is a 5:50 pace.  Then we ran off the track all the way to Home Depot at 80%.  Thing is, it was windy and uphill.  It made it really difficult and I felt like I was giving twice the effort as normal but not going any faster.  So I just hung in there and finished the best I could.  We ran hills on the hill by Home Depot and did 3 sets of 3.  We were all so pooped that it made them hard but it was a good workout overall.  After the workout we had weight lifting.

Today I raced the 3k.  The race felt good but everyone got so spread out that it was basically like running alone and it made it really difficult.  We got 23 seconds of altitude conversion so I guess you could say my time is 10:49 which is better than Idaho.  Coach told me it's good I'm staying consistent and I'll be seeing improvement once the hard workouts go down.  It's just frustrated because this whole indoor season has been a let down and I'm trying to stay positive and see improvement but it's not coming.

Warmup mile and then today we ran high mileage plus two more.  We ran the trail Razorbacks with the 2 recruit girls that are here and it was super fun.  It was muddy so we painted some mud on all our faces and soon our shoes were like 5lbs. heavier because of the caked mud but it was way fun!  After that we dropped the recruits off at 5 miles and me and sierra finished up our mileage around campus.

Warm up mile.  Today we had a speed workout of 800,600,500,400x2.  Our goal times for the 800 was 2:30 and the rest of the splits were about that same speed.  So it was a super speedy pace.  But Coach kinda got into my face about going hard and doing my best in workouts so I really tried my best to stick with Ashley Grey and it turned out pretty good.  It was really tough, but I was happy with it and did my best which is all I can do!

Today we didn't have official practice so Paige texted me and we went running together.  We went on the Great Harvest run and got a free slice of bread.  This time I got raspberry cream cheese...soooo good!  After we ran striders and then went home!

I finally ran again!  I'm finally better from my dumb strep throat!  We had a 50% run on our own so I ran the trail around bicenntenial and then went up into the canyon and back down.  I felt a little out of breathe but it felt so good to be running!

This morning I went and ran by myself again.  The other girls had to do pickups on their run and I was doing a normal run  so I decided to go alone.  It was a good run and tons of people were out running or biking.  Such a beautiful day!

Warmup mile.  Then I ran 6 with all the 5k/mile girls.  We ran main street and added the sheep tunnels to it. We we're zooming and hit like a 7:05 pace the whole run but it was good I guess.

Warmup mile.  Today the people going to conference had a workout so I was going to just do mileage then coach had me do the workout with the 800 group.  We had 6x400's at 80sec. then went down 2 seconds for the next.  So at the end we were at 70sec.  We were pretty close on all our times.  It was a hard workout but not crazy hard so I felt pretty good.  Coming back from being sick has tired me out but I know I'll start feeling more normal as time goes on.

Today we ran on our own since the coaches are up at conference. I was going to run in the morning but I was too lazy.  So I waited until after class and it was snowing/raining.  So then I waited until it slowed down and started running.  I ran up the canyon and by the time I headed back down it was sunny and so pretty!  Everything smelt all rainy and there was snow and fog up on the mountain and it was just beautiful.

Today I ran in St. Geezy.  I was going to run with the team but Mia wasn't going and I would kinda feel awkward soooo I ran by myself around the fields.  I ran through a construction zone that I didn't know was there...even though there were a billion orange signs...and so I got a bit muddy and I'm pretty sure everyone was annoyed at having to slow down for me to get out of their way.  I felt really good and I kept like a 7:00 pace the whole run.  Maybe it's just the altitude but I felt amazing.
