We ran Coral Canyon.  Bleck!  Remind me to never run there again!  It was practically all hills!  But I survived, I guess that's all that matters.  It was nice to run with Roberts, because when he talks the whole time the run seems to go a lot faster!  Umm...I ate some cheerios before I ran?  Not sure what else I'm supposed to write on here...so bye!

Cheerios are for babies. Now just tell us about your babies and don't question it. Geez!

Travis, you can keep up with someone that runs a 5:38 mile?

From what I heard, you were the master of the hills out there; so why you crying?!

We ran Green Springs (blame JP) and it was okay.  Felt better than the last 6 mile Green Springs.  Although, I was miffed that we had striders afterwards!  But it was okay, I guess.  Oh, and I ate a cheese stick and a rice crispy treat for breakfast (is that okay with you Burt?) ;)

We ran in the grass today, my absolute favorite!...*cough* *cough*  It actually went by pretty fast, but my feet got all cut up and they kinda hurt!  And that's concludes my complaining for todays run!  And I ate cheerios ( I know, I know, babies eat cheerios...)...and yes Burt, whoever you may be, I will continue to make fun of you!  the end!

Today I ran at the Pine View Park, my favorite (I really mean it this time!).  It was a great run!  Nothing to really complain about!  BUT....JP did keep showing me all the roadkill...that wasn't too pleasant!  The End!

We ran Hell Hole today...enough said.

Fine, fine...i'll right more....It was quite nice to have Kaylee back for a change!  I've missed her a lot!  That was about the only good thing about the run...oh, and I found a penny in a laundromat that we stopped at to use its facilities!  Yeah...and I ate oatmeal!  Chocolate Chip oatmeal to be exact!  Alright, I better stop...I'm burnt out from writing 6 whole sentences....

This morning we ran on the dirt track.  It was okay, not my favorite, but okay!  Me and Mia biked home! And since it was all down hill, Mia freaked out because it was too fast! :)  And I ate some cereal that looks like worm poo waded up (lovely mental picture, right?)!  The End!

Wait!  Just Kidding!  Because guess what?  We got to run some more today!  Yay!  Me and Mia biked AGAIN...and this time it was slightly uphill...so we complained the whole time to each other!  The run wasn't too bad and neither was lifting...but the ride back home killed us!  I don't know why, but we were totally beat (hmm...maybe its because you had to workout twice in a day, Rachel!!!)  The best part about the ride home was some horses that we petted (I know it's not a word, I'm too tired to care!) and we went through this broken sprinkler that was conveniently spraying the sidewalk!  ...now its really the end...partly because I've been staring this ad on my computer screen for 10min. that reads 'Marathons Are Boring.'...and partly because I have nothing else to say!

Today was a good day!  I thought we were going to have to run 7 but coach, being the kind man he is, decided to give us a break!  Me and Mia fed some poptarts from the free breakfast thingy to the horses on our way back.  They seemed to enjoy it!  The end!

We ran on the grass today.  It wasn't too bad mostly because we only had 9 laps...thanks to JP! :)  I ate the worm poo cereal again!  Oh, and our horses were at the other end of the field today so we couldn't feed them the carrots that we brang for them...what a shame!  And yes JP...I know that I just said 'brang'...deal with it!

Is the world ending?  Am I seeing things?  Did I eat my grandmas poisoned cat food?  No, no, no...I really ran on a Saturday!!!!  *Cheering*  Yes, yes...I'm quite proud of myself too!  I woke up at 7 (unlike some people who sleep in until 12! *cough* ..jp..*cough*) and I set off to go running!  All by my lonesome :(  I had a hard time keeping my pace without anyone to run with...and I no one to talk to!  I spent my time thinking about BB guns, tubas, biting dogs and trying to figure out what 'OBO' means.  I only ran 4 because I'm recovering from girls camp, and honestly it felt harder than it should.  By the time I had finished my run I was convinced I had run 6...but to my dismay, it was only 4!  Oh, and my ankle hurts....it feels like a shin splint on my ankle.  An ankle shplint?  I don't know...any advice coaches?  The End!

Cheering. Yeah, Stoner. I'm glad you're back and running on a Saturday when no one is around to make you feel guilty. It might take you a few days to get back into the swing of things--camp will be good for that. The ankle is probably just your body's way of cowering to the comedic genius that is Stoner. But keep an eye on it just in case.

Today's run was okay...we ran....I can't think of the name...that's gonna bug me the whole day!  Ugh!  Anyways, I was feeling a little nervous to run 5 after a whole week of partying at girls camp!  But I survived!  I felt pretty good throughout the whole run but by the end me and JP had a pity party of tiredness together!  Striders were bleh...as usual.  And the ride home was grand!  Me and Mia fed our best friends some apples!  They seemed to enjoy them!  And we named three of them...wanna here their names?  We're pretty pro at naming horses...so just keep that in mind!  Their names are Flyeye, Rawnose, and Smoothgroove!  I know, I know, there great names, huh?  Probably blew your mind away!  Anyways, the horses kept yawning and mia was sure that they were trying to huck a loogie at her!  haha...I love that girl!

After a long drive up to camp we ran 3 more!  Yay!  The run actually seemed short and it was so pretty up there that I didn't notice the run much!

Today we ran 9!  This is a new record for Rachel's little legs!  The rain wasn't too bad, it just got annoying after a while!  And the mud was...just dandy!  We were slipping all over the mountian!  The run wasn't too bad on the way out...we even saw a crawling snake! ;)  The run back however was just bleh!  I wasn't feeling too good but by the time we got to the lake I started feeling great...then I felt horrible.  It was quite the bipolar run!

Wasn't too excited for the afternoon 3-mile!  But it wasn't that bad...I was just a little tired from the 9 mile we had earlier!

Total Distance

Today we ran 5...I felt like crap!  I didn't get any food before I ran so I felt like my stomach was eating itself!  And to make matters worse the run was uphill both ways...in the snow...with bears eating our shoes...okay, okay...maybe not!  But it was uphill half the way and we did tell bear stories...the snow was just a lie.  We had to stop multiple times because my stomach disappeared and we couldn't breathe!  The way back was fine because it was mostly down hill!

The 3 mile felt really long!  I was just really poopled....haha, I mean pooped from running 2 times a day the past 2 days!

Total Distance

Todays run was nasty...probably the worst one of the week!  It was just long and flat, and it seemed to take forever to get to the turnaround...did I mention how long it felt?  In the middle of the run, I had to use the facilities...wait!  There are no facilities because we were way out in the boonies!  So I had to use a poor little tree!  And I took my sweet time because I felt so tired!!!  But we eventually got back...it just took us 5 years! ;)

Total Distance

I know, I know...we were supposed to run 6!  But I almost got stolen and I couldn't get the courage to go back outside to finish up!  I'm being serious!  It's a rare occasion when Rachel is serious...and today is one of those rare occasions!  The run was fine...I passed some cows and their poo was cooking in the hot sun so it was just a pungent, putrid, nasty smell!  But other than that I felt great the whole run!  Probably because Mrs. Pete gave me a yummy protien shake....Whats that?  You want to hear how I was almost stolen?  Well, if you insist!

Okay so I was running...obviously...and I was almost done!  I just had to get to my house and run around the neighborhood once!  But this big white van comes slowly by me while I ran so I look over and they're just staring at me!  So I was a little worried and so I pretended to get out my phone and talk on it!  Then the van stopped in front of a neighborhood outlet intersection thing.  So I stopped because I thought he was trying to turn or something...but he just sat there for a few seconds then goes slowly up to the next neighbor outlet intersection thing and parks right in the middle of it!  I'm starting to freak out so I cross the road and the van turns around so I go down this random sidewalk that leads to a neighborhood and I hide behind a wall and I can see them going down the road and then I thought they had seen me because they turn around again!  So I start running through the neighborhood...and by now I was like praying like crazy!  I thought I was gonna die!  Eventually I run out onto the main road again and I just booked it home!  BUT, the van came by with big guns hanging out the window trying to shoot me!  ...Okay that last part was a lie!  I ran home and I didn't see them again!  Scary, huh?  Well that's the end of my story...sorry if you were dissapointed with it!

We ran 10 today....Rachel's legs weren't too excited for a new record!  But it actually wasn't that bad!  I had some cheerios for breakfast and on our run we stopped at my house for water!  The hill felt pretty good!  ...We kind of left Roberts in the dust!  It was a good run...except it was really muggy and I felt really wet the whole run!

Today we ran to Hell Hole and did hills.  'Gee that sounds like heck!'-Rachel's mind.  'Don't worry Rachel's mind, it's not that bad!'-Rachel's mouth....I really have no idea why I just talked to my mind.  Anyways....we had to do 4 one minute hills and 6 thirty second hills.  It sounded really horrible, especially when Megan started laughing at us and making fun!  But it actually wasn't even that bad!  And when we ran out of Hell Hole, we decided to go really slow and easy but it only made it 10 times worse, so me and Kaylee started to run normally!  Then we ran around town homes to finish up our mileage!  All of us were dying of thirst so we stopped at a drinking fountian on the side of the trail.  It was warm but we didn't give a dum (gotcha!)....I know giving a dum doesn't make any sense...I just wanted to getcha!  Anyways I felt really good during the whole thing!  The bike ride was fun!  We named a new horse!  His full name...Her full name?  ITS full name is Blind Mussy, but we just call it B. Mussy!  Cute huh?  Me and Mia thought so!  The end.

Today we ran in the grass....usually this means I whine the whole blog, but not today!  I was actually very excited to only run 3 miles!  Me and Roberts had some interesting conversations about organic food, spring water and yucky smoothies and burritos.   And yes, I did smell snakes again!  I also smelt ladybugs and artichokes just the other day on a run!   Wow!  I just discovered the color thingy!  Yellow!  Oarnge!  Cool huh?  Anyways, I felt great today so I decided to run with the all the kids during their race!  It was really fun especially because I got to run with the cutest little girls!  It was a really good day!  And swimming was a blast too!  The End!   Can you read this?

Today we ran in Middletown Park.  We ran up this huge hill that had a random tunnel on the side of it.  All us girls are pretty sure we saw a hobo in it!  And then had to do two sets of tempo on the way and another two on the way back.  It wasn't too horrible, but I think I liked hell hole hills better!  We kept a good pace and I felt pretty good the whole run...just a little tired after the tempo paces.

We ran 10...it was just dandy.  Especially with Roberts gone.  In case you couldn't tell...I'm being sarcastic!  It wasn't too bad, but it felt worse than our last 10 miler.  I just felt a little more tired  towards the end...probably from the 2 miles of tempo pace.  But it was okay.  aw man...I just realized, at 11pm, that I forgot to stretch after our run!  Sorry coach!  Anyways...I'm quite tired, as you can tell from the lack of exclamation points........because you all pay close attention to the number of my exclamation points, right?  ...Am I Right?  That's why I hate facebook, it sucks out all your time...and that's why I love my mom.  I have no idea why that relates to my mom...but I do love her.  okay, okay, goodnight...I'm starting to not make any sense, so I think it'd be better if I just stop and go to bed!

Today I ran 4 miles with my padre...well he drove the car...but it was a pretty good run!  Except for the fact that it was 40 degrees outside!!!  It was so cold that I don't think I sweated the whole time!  And since we're kind of up in the mountains, there were hills everywhere on the run!   Okay, I'm done whining!  I felt like a kept a pretty good pace the whole time...it wasn't that hard with my dad right behind me in the car.  But overall...a decent run!

Total Distance

Today I ran hills.  My mom wasn't too happy about me running on the day of the wedding because she needed help and stuff, so I wasn't able to run my full mileage.  But I did do all my hills, which was six 1min. hills and three 30sec. hills.  My dad would sit at the bottom of the hill in his car and honk for me to start then honk again for me to stop.  I didn't feel too great because the hill was so huge and I didn't have anyone to race up it! Overall it was alright!

Today was one of the worst runs I've ever done!  We ran the hospital run and I just felt so tired and hot!  We stopped like 5 times for water and for breaks.  And going up Foremaster hill was horrible.  I was determined not to stop going up it, but as soon as I got up there, I felt as though I couldn't walk and my stomach was really tight.  I don't think I had one drink of water the whole school day...so that could explain why I felt so thirsty and gross the whole run.  I'll be sure to drink lots tomorrow though!

I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Forgive me? (: And at least Katie didn't SHRED your toe today! I swear, I couldn't breathe for 5 minutes, it hurt so bad! But I am indeed sorry about your blood blister. Having had 4 blisters in the past 2 weeks, I know they suck. Okay, okay, I'm done talking about my own injuries. (: Good job on.. um.. life.

From Vis on Wed, Aug 17, 2011 at 23:52:08 from 208.88.8.22

Rub some dirt on it. No, but seriously, even though it's probably not the prescribed method, I usually pop my blisters and cover the wound with a band-aid or moleskin. If the blister's not on a high rub section, like the heel, it usually feels decent on a run.

Today we did 4 1000's.  Bleh...they were okay.  My toe hurt the whole time...but surely not as bad as Holts!  Because you see, he would pull out his toenails daily while climbing up a mountain to school both ways!  So really...my toe means nothing! ;)  Anyways, it was nice to have Zack running with us because he would kind of pace me.  But it wasn't nice to have Matt spit on me!  Geez!  Kidding Matt!...if you even read this!  Overall, today was not very good...I'm so ready for this week to be over!

This morning was pretty good.  A little tired from a long week!

This afternoon we ran Foremaster with 15 min. tempo.  Another pooey day.  I wasn't very excited for tempo and I was getting race nerves all during school for it....pretty sure I'm just a touch stressed out!    During tempo I fell behind a little but I kept the pace...well, that's what Roberts said.  That guys never fails to make me feel good about myself!  Then after the run, Kaylee and I did that foam rolley thing and it felt SO good when I was done!  I felt like I was walking on a cloud!

Today the bus dropped Me, Mia, Frida, JP, Kaylee, Devin, Micheal, Jared and Casey off in the boonies and we had to run to the meet.  I felt good during the first part, but then I saw the huge everlasting hills and I didn't feel so great.  Halfway up the hill all the boys waited for us so they could run with us.  And even though they were a tad annoying, they really helped take my mind of the hill.  Thanks guys!  Then later we stopped at a gas station to grab some water and then we kept running!  The guys continued to entertain us by picking up random junk on the side of the road like cyclops masks, a metal pole, and a smurf!  Before I knew it, we were at the meet!  Overall a good run!

P.S.  Good job to all of you who ran today!  You all did awesome!

AM-We did 1000's this morning.  I didn't really know about the workout until I got there...if I had known I wouldn't of come! ;)  They went really well, I felt pretty good throughout all of them.  I hated all the sprinklers though...I don't like being really wet while I run!

PM-We ran 3 to Washington, but because of the construction we had quite the adventure!  We ran across a stream and up to the waterwheel park and ran around there!  It was fun and I felt okay during the whole thing!

AM-Kaylee got pulled over so we didn't do our morning workout...that was fine by me...until we had to do it in the afternoon heat though!  We only ran 3, and it was just grand!

PM-We ran 5 in Green Springs with 15min. tempo on the way back.  Bleck!  I tried to stay with Kaylee but I was a little behind her the whole time.  We kept hitting stop lights on the way back, so we got a lot of breaks!  It wasn't a great run, just because it was so dang hot and Roberts wasn't able to be there :(

AM-We did some of the new cruise 1200's this morning.  3 to be exact!  I really liked them!  I thought it was going to be a hard pace but it was a really easy and strong pace.  After we did those we did 4 200's on the track.  Those were okay, but my legs feel like they can't go very fast.  JP on the other hand, whipped us on the 200's but we gave her the excuse of having fresh legs!

PM- We ran an easy 3.  It was great!

PM- We ran 5 to Target.  On our way there we said Hi to our dead cat named 'Pudz' and on the way back we talked about the race and what we feel confident about and stuff.  It was a good run, other than I'm pooped from a week of hard work!

P.S.  I'm so excited for this season!  Our team kicked butt(excuse the language) at this meet and I'm sure we'll do it at all our meets to come!  Everyone did awesome!

AM-We did 1000's...not my favorite!  JP really pushed me hard...a lot harder than last week!  Which is good...but it just doesn't feel so good at the time, ya know?  But they went pretty good...although the sprinklers were on and I hate that!  It made my shirt really smelly, so I had to find another one that didn't smell like nasty grass toilet sweat (yummy, huh?)!

PM-We ran an easy 3...although I'm a little suspicious that it was over 3!...Roberts!  It was kind of your fault!  Oh well, it wasn't even that bad!  We jumped into Sanburgs and that felt great!  Except cow pies were floating all around and Kaylee and Rachel were trying to drown me!  Wes was the only nice one who stayed with me and gave me words of encouragement!  Thanks Wes!  Overall, a good run!

AM-We ran 5 out to target.  It was a good run!

PM-Ran 3.  It was just peachy!

Total Distance
10.50

AM- We did two 800's, two 400's and eight 200's.  Bleh.  It started out fine, I felt like I kept a good pace and I stayed up with JP and Kaylee.  The 200's got really tiresome after a while.  By the last one I was dead...JP (a.k.a. Fresh Legs) wasn't though! ;)

PM-We ran 3 again.  It was a pretty good run!  Then we did weights and plyos.  Those always wear me out...but they seem to be getting easier.

Total Distance
8.50

AM- We did 3 in the morning.  Felt good and it was nice to only run 3 in the morning!

PM-We ran 5 on the grass.  I really like the grass...it just seems to go by really fast!  Although I did get a goat-head thorn!  It was a good run! Afterwards we did weights and plyos.  Not a fan...but it was nice to only do a 1/2 set of plyos.

Total Distance
14.50

AM-We ran 3...I'm feeling really tired from this week.  And the showers felt extra cold today!  We really need to get on that and ask the janitors or someone to give us hot water!  ...I'm kind of suspicious that the boys take all the hot water in the school before we get there! ;)

PM-We ran 1 mile cruisers then two 1200 cruisers.  I generally like cruisers but today I felt like poo.  Today is one of those days that I'm so sick and tired of running that I just kind of want to quit!  ...but I won't...don't worry!  During the cruisers I felt like a kept a good pace and I felt pretty strong but I was just really tired afterwards.  And the only reason I did striders was because there was a squishy part in the grass that was fun to run on.

UNGODLY HOURS-Please excuse my language...but its true!  But it was a lot of fun!  Besides running, I listened to Roberts mad guitar skills,  tried to ride on a Ripstick (Which I failed at!), slept in the back of a truck,  juggled a soccer ball,  and watched coach act like a maniac playing Rock Band!  It was a crazy, fun, tiresome, and long night/morning!

Total Distance
6.07

I was having troubles with my computer, coach!  And I haven't had time to fill it in because I have to read so freaking much for a certain class taught by a certain coach!  ;)

On this particular day I ran with Frida and Mia!  It was a blast!  It went really slow at first but it got better as we went!  And to make things even better/creepier we saw a gorilla riding a bike!  Now how many people get to see that on a run?  Not many, that's for sure!  ...at least I hope not...that would be horrible!  But it was honestly the hairiest human I've ever seen...but everyone is special in their own way, isn't that right?  Anyways...I'll stop talking of gorillas!  It was a great run and I felt really good!

This is a little different entry than the summer!

Total Distance

AM-We ran 5!  It felt gweat!  Although JP didn't show up!  So instead of telling her we only did 5, we said we ran 3 michigans!  She didn't believe us....and she said she thought michigans were easy...so it ruined our whole joke.

PM-We ran 3 at Dixie!  It was fun!  Frida had to go someplace so she pushed the pace for us, which is probably a good thing!

Total Distance
10.00

AM-We did four 30sec. thingys, two 1000's, two 800's.  bleck.  The boys had told us the previous day that the workout was horrible.  So I expected heck...and it wasn't too bad.  It was hard but not death!  Good workout for me!

PM-We ran 3.  Nothing too exciting!

Total Distance
8.50

AM-We ran 3 and then did four 200's!  Guess who missed AGAIN?  Yep, good 'ol JP!  I'm gonna have to go to her house and wake her up myself or something!  I felt okay, my legs are starting to feel crappy from the week.  The 200's went well...there was no 'Ms. Fresh Legs' to show us up and make us feel like snails!

PM-We ran 4!  'We' being me, Frida, and Mia!  We ditched the pep assembly and started our run!  By the time we finished our 4 miler everyone was just warming up!  So we finished with striders and went home!  Felt so good to be home earlier than usual!

Race: Pre-Region (3 Miles) 00:20:48, Place overall: 4

AM-We ran 3.  It felt peachy!  We wanted to do ice baths but decided not to because we had a race.  Is it bad to do an ice bath on the day of a race, coaches?  We weren't sure!

PM-Ran our race, with a 7:30 pace for our first mile.  It felt really slow, so when we started our real pace, it felt good!  Although the last 800 or so, I got a side cramp and I felt I didn't finish as well as I could of!  Wasn't one of my best races...but I'll do better next time!

P.S.  Everyone did awesome on their races!  Even with that tempo-thingy, you guys did awesome!

AM-This morning we did 2 sets of Michegans...Michagans...how do you spell it?  Oh yeah, B-A-R-F!  Honestly, they didn't seem as bad as they were last year though!  I stayed with Kaylee and JP and I felt fine the whole time except for the last 600 meters or so.

PM-We ran 3 to Washington/Sandburgs.  It was a good run!  I felt grand and we kept a nice pace...although no one would let me go see Franklin the Dead Cow :(

AM-We ran to Starbucks!  It was a great run, although Pudz (the dead cat in the gutter) is now missing!  JP doesn't think so, but I couldn't see him!  I think a street sweeper got him...*sniff*.

PM-We ran an easy 3 with six 200's at the end.  The 3 miles was fine but after the 200's, I was pooped!

PM-Easy 3 miles!  We ran Washington and it went really fast, and I felt grand!

AM-We ran an easy 3 again!  I felt great and it was nice to be able to sleep in a little longer than usual!

PM-We ran at Sugarhouse!  It was a good run and nice to be able to refresh my memory of the state course.

RACE-I felt really good the whole race!  I was feeling a little tired at times, but I'd try and push right back up there and stick with JP and Kaylee.  And we (our team) did so awesome!  I was so excited on how well all of us did! During the race I was having a spaz attack because I couldn't believe that we had the top 3!  Plus we had 4 more girls who weren't very far behind and did awesome! And we won!  Good job girls!!

This morning I ran 6 miles with Frida, Mia and JP.  I know me and JP were supposed to run 8....but, at least I ran!  And we even did the last mile tempo pace!  It was a good run and it went by really fast!  Although mia and I were kind of disapointed we didn't see another gorilla!

Total Distance
6.50

AM-Felt like crap this morning.  I really was debating on coming or not.  During the 3 mile run my head felt like it would explode...but obviously, it didn't!  After we were done Jp, Mia, Frida, Kaylee and I did six 200's...and later found out we weren't supposed to!  whoops! ...I blame Frida ;) During the 200's I said I'd just do half of them so I wouldn't wear myself out too bad...but I felt okay after the 4th one and decided to just finish them!

PM-We were supposed to run 3 again but I had a dumb AP Bio lab, so I only ran 2.  During the run I noticed I was a little short of breath and my legs were worn out...probably because I'm still kind of sick.  And on the way back, since I was alone, I felt like a picked up the pace...mostly because there was no one yelling at me to slow down and also because I was afraid I'd be late for my lab(which I was)!  It was a good run though, and I feel a lot better, sick wise, than I did yesterday!

Total Distance
6.50

AM-Ran 3 with all the girls!  It was really nice!

PM-Ran 3 again with Roberts, Kaylee, Kelsi and Nicole.  It was really fun and it went by really fast!  Prolly because we were talking about cat fur sweaters, Kaylee's uncle, and doing spirit finger waves! :)  Then I did plyos and weights!  They felt good and I was so happy we only had a 1/2 set of plyos!

Total Distance
9.50

AM-Ran 3.  Felt fine, although my throat is still a little bit sore.

PM-Ran 5 in Green Springs.  Seemed like forever because we've only been running 3 lately.  We had to run extra speedily so Mia could be back in time for her cello lessons, so we kept a good pace!  Striders went by really fast!

AM- Ran 3 again.  Felt good, but my throat is still acting up!

PM- The race was okay for me.  My stomach felt funny before we had started and I got side cramps on and off during the race.  My shoes felt really tight, prolly because I washed them :(  and it caused my socks to rub my toe raw...but no one would listen to me because JP had a huge blister/alien egg sac on the back of her foot ;)  It wasn't my best race for sure...I just didn't feel very well overall, but I'm going to do better next time!  And Ill remember my zone bar so I don't get all antzy and have my sister run around to get me a piece of bread!

Total Distance

Today we did our workout on the state course.  First we did a 2 mile warm-up and then we started into eight 200's then we did two 4min. tempos.  I felt great the whole time!  Except on the 3 miler to the JV race, I kept getting side cramps.  It was a good workout though and I enjoyed watching everyone run!  You guys did so awesome!

Total Distance
10.25

AM-We did two sets of Michigans.  They weren't that bad, actually.  For some reason they seemed a lot worse last year, but this year...they seem okay!  I thought I kept a good pace but I need to work on my last 400 sprint!  And I missed JP!  I hpe your leg gets better soon!

PM-We had an easy 3 with striders, weights then plyos.  The 3 miler went by supah (i hope Jared doesn't mind me copying 'his word'!) fast!  The striders were fun especially slipping around in the mud and Mia saying "Charlie horse!  Charlie horse!"  and then ripping her pants! haha!  Weights and plyos went pretty fast too and they weren't that bad!

Total Distance
7.50

AM-We ran an easy 4!  Felt pretty good!

PM-We ran 3 on the mini Sandburgs run.  It was good but my legs felt really tired.  But other than that, it was a good run!

For this race, I was determined to eat right before my race so I wouldn't have a spaz attack about how I need food!  So I did, and I felt good before the race.  I felt good during the race but it didn't feel like my best...I really wanted to catch that dumb orange girl but I didn't get a good kick for the finish...I really need to work on that!  but overall it was an okay race!  I was really proud of Frida sticking with me!  She really pushed me, and she always has a positive attitude!  thanks frida! :)

AM- We did pyramids this morning.  which is 400, 600, 800, 1000, 800, 600, then a 400!  Phew!  They were tiring, but I felt really good!  and as a plus, there were no sprinklers to soak us! hooray!  but the pine trees kept whacking me in the head and yanking my hair!  My hair was a total mess by the end of the workout...oh well!

PM-ran an easy 3!

Today I was quite nervous...but not sick nervous like usual!  Our morning warm-up felt good and I got a good breakfast!  While at the hotel me and kaylee took a nap, which felt great!  During my nap/meditation. I imagined the race and went through the whole thing and remembered all of coach's notes.  It seemed to really help me calm down and relax about the race.  And before the race, Bro. Gillespie...Mr. Gillespie...Dr. Gellespie?...oh I don't know!  Devin's dad told me and mia this story about how devin and someone else on our team who started out way behind, but during the rest of the race they pushed and passed tons of people and ended up running a great race.  And this story helped during the beginning of the race because it was a mad house!  Everyone was all bunched together and the odgen girls were talking (yes, during the race!) about how they were going to crush all of us!  Pah!  We showed them!  But during the race I really tried to focus on what coach had told us and what our strategy was and I think it really helped.  And I felt great the whole race..well, as great as you can feel while running!  Overall it was a great race and I'm proud of our whole team!

PM-We ran 5 in neon spider.  Dumbest run ever...and I blame Claudia!  At first it was fine, then everyone started screaming for no reason! (and no!  I did NOT start the screaming!)  So I started freaking out because the varsity boys kept shoving us and I heard running water so I thought I was going to wash away and nobody would tell me what was going on because everyone was too busy screaming!  So I fell into the dumb ditch and got all wet then I sunk into the mud when I was coming out!  It wasn't my favorite run...that's for sure!

I wasn't very nervous for this race because...well...I don't know...I just wasn't.  What I WAS nervous for was how cold it'd be!  And it was FREEZING!  I felt good before the race, although I thought I might throw up my breakfast because I had eaten a ton and my face and feet were frozen.  Our first lap felt really good and actually kind of slow.  But on the 2nd lap everyone got injected by steroids and started going really fast!  I kept up as best as I could and eventually on the beginning of the 3rd lap passed these 2 girls and started heading towards Kaylee.  And the only reason I pushed up to her was because coach said she needs me to help push her.  So I eventually caught her and gave her some encouragement and we went off together!  It was really weird/supah cool to run by her!  But it was a great race and the cold took my mind off of my legs so I can't even recall them hurting that much!  I still don't know my time though...I really want to compare it with last years!  But everyone did great!  And even if you didn't feel you did your best, don't fret!  Because we still have regionals and we're gonna kickas we get into the gate!!!  :)

PM-Today we had the PV team time trails!  I forgot all about it so I had to run in my 'hiking boots'.  I felt good and it went by really fast.  I had JP and Shakes pushing me the whole time, so that was good!  Then we had 3 400's.  They felt easier to really push on them, but I still don't like them.

Today we ran out to green springs and did some farlicks on the way up and back.  They started out nice but Kaylee got faster and faster as they went on! ...she said it was because we were running down hill...that's bull crap in my opinion! ;)

We only had 3 today!  Hallelujah?...Haleilujah?....whatever!  We ran to Hot Nails and recited poems to Roberts and even beatboxed and sang on the way back!  It was great...although my arch has been hurting SO bad!  I rolled it out...but it's not seeming to help!

Today I was running...like usual...and realized I had an AP bio lab!  So I had to turn around so I wouldn't miss it...i mean, who wouldn't want to miss investigating the basic principles of molecular biology!  Not me of course! ;)

Today we ran the Footlocker course.  It was nice to get a feel for it and have a relaxing run.  But not too relaxing and stopping after every single hill wondering where to go...(like some of our 'bus' friends)!  sheesh!  Afterwards we did striders.  Thats it!

Footlocker!!!  I've been looking forward to this day for quite a while!  On the bus ride over my nerves starting acting up but I just tried to calm down and go through the course in my head.  Once we got there we warmed up right away and it was fun running with all the junior girls!  We got to the starting line in time (unlike some other slackers from last year!) and had a pretty good start.  Although some of our girls were caught off guard because they were yelling at the sophmore boys running by...whoops!  Once we got going I made a commitment in my head that I'd get up with that first pack and stay there.  I reached the first pack at the hill and everyone just started walking up the hill (well...not literally)...but it seemed really slow, so I pulled out my hair and whipped right past them! ;)  Eventually I was in 4th and I think I could've gotten third but my heart wasn't into it!  but it was a great race...even if it had a billion hills!  I enjoyed it! da end!

I love the part about how you "pulled out" your hair "and whipped right past them!" Classic. Congratulations on a great race and a great season.
