Terday we run 4 miles out ta Green Sprigs.  All thee gerls run wid us and it werz reellay fun ter be wid dem again.  I gots ter have a reel nicshe talk wid Liz aboat da Chirstmas braek.  Wee also meet som crazey dudes thet yerlled at us.  Aftawurds we was leefting weeghts.  It werz reely chaullenging and I cern alreedy feel my biseps an calfes agrowing...welp..goudby fulks.

Yo yo today we's ran outs ta Middletonizzy. We's arunning and Megizzle and Josizzle had to turn aroundizzle at 3...and we's may have led them a little stray stray. But that's okay kay. We's hads a pretty good pace-dizzle.  And we's was so excited that Aubsizzle stuck up with us for thee whole run-bizzle.  She did awesomizzle!  Some cray cray gangstas tried to runizzle with usizzle but we were just going to fastizzle for him to keep up wid us! The endizzle.

Today we had mile repeats which made me quite queasy.  But it turned out to not be that bad because we had such slow times to hit.  The first repeat I tried to control my pace to hit all my times but the girls behind me were stepping on my heels...literally.  okay not literally but I could hear them stomping behind me...literally.  Everyone was super fast the 1st time but the 2nd time we all worked on control and I think we all did much better on hitting our respective times.  I thought it was a nice workout to start the season with.  Afterwards we had weights again!  We added a little more weight to each exercise and it felt really good.  I had to get a bigger shirt because my ginourmous biceps got to big while I was working and it tore my shirt apart...literally.  Its crazy I know.

Today we ran out...excuse me...we drove out to green springs thanks to the lovely Aubrey!  I was super excited though because I love trail runs!  We ran and we ran and we ran and we ran and we ran and we stopped to breathe and let the girls catch up and we ran and we ran and we ran and we turned around and then we ran and we ran and we ran and we ran and we ran.  It was a good run!  Although I got jipped on winning the end of the run...i refuse to pay coach the supposed $5 I owe him.

Today we ran Foremaster.  The run up the hill was tiring but really not too bad and we waited for all our girls at the top then we started the tempo once they all got there.  I got side cramps on the top of Foremaster but it kinda went away as we ran down the hill.  JP was super ticked and angry at how loud I was stomping down the hill ;)  Our tempo stopped around Fossil Ridge and we had gone 1.8 miles.  The rest of the way was slow and I felt pretty tired and that last strech..because for some reason that road seems to go super slow.

Today we ran 4 thanks to the beautimos winds that ruined our workout plans.  We ran the dog pound route and it was a pretty good run except to the sand went into my eyes and mouth!  Afterwards we did striders and weights!  Weights were really good...but not good enough to rip my shirt...

AM-3 miles

PM-Had 4 mile repeats.   My time I needed to hit was 6:08 but I honestly didn't do very well today.  My times were right on on my 1st two splits but the 3rd and 4th laps always got me behind.  I got a 6:16, 6:12, 6:11, 6:15

PM-Ran 5 miles out on Temple Quarry Trial.  It was a fun run and I love the trail...even though we tend to get lost along the way somewhere...but this time we did pretty good.  I tried throwing rocks to the side of the trail to scare JP and Mia but JP caught me and I blamed it on a noisy squirrel.  It was a good run!

AM-3 in da mornin.

PM-Ran 8 out to the river trail with 24min. of tempo.  I got right with Jake and we stayed on 6:20 for the first half but it fell as we went and I think we ended with 6:38 pace.  It went by pretty quick and felt like a decent tempo.

Today we all went to the Talen Vaughn 5k.  Me, JP, and Mia arrived early to get in 2 miles to warm up.  Then we raced the 5k.  JP and I stuck together for most of it which pushed me to get a good pace going.  It seemed to go by really quick and I ended up being 1st for girls which was nice!  After we ran a mile cooldown and saw cute puppies and a monkey and ate the best oranges ever!  We also ran with Jacob for a bit which added a mile or so

PM-Today we had 4 mile repeats with 83%.  My time I needed to hit was 6:08. I felt pretty good on all of them, the last ones were harder naturally.  Jason pushed me though with me and him taking turns leading and surging.  My times were 6:02, 6:10, 6:06, 6:07

AM-3 in the morning with plyos

PM-Ran on the Ice House trial out in Green Springs.  Everyone was so excited and screaming with joy!  We decided to switch of leaders every half mile to keep things interesting and fun.  The first half was kinda hard just because it was practically all uphill but I didn't get very tired from it surprisingly.  The downhill half was the best part but kinda scary because ankles were rolling everywhere.

AM-3 in thee morning

PM-Today is tempo day! Oh how we just love and adore tempo day!  JP and I started out really good and kept a 6:15 pace for probably the first mile-ish.  It went down to 6:20 and we stayed there until close to the turnaround.  Closer to the turnaround it fell a little to about 6:25.  The way back I felt myself getting tired but I kept trying to speed back up to the pace I needed but it slowly dropped in that first mile to about 6:30 and at the very end of my tempo it was around 6:38.  I felt good about it but kinda pooped out.  ...speaking of poop...I saw something that no one should see.  Good thing I don't have very good eye sight

PM- Ran to old man hills and did 1x800, 2x400's, and 4x200's.  The workout was pretty tiring but it went by pretty quick.  Doing those 200's with the boys really pushed me...even though I almost got knocked out by Jake'e elbow, sheesh!  The last one Mike and Casey really pushed me and helped me get a good time to end on.  We had weights afterwards.

AM- Kosmin Test this morning!  I got 1320 meters which is like 7 meters farther than last time!   Bam!

PM- Today was the lovely decathalon!  My self esteem is now officially at rock bottom...I'm just not too great at the other events!  oh well.  We did 3 miles on the track in between the events

Ew, that just looks funky now!  The events for today weren't too bad...but my self esteem didn't go up whatsoever though!  The long jump was the only thing I was proud of!

PM- Today we had ten 400's! Ten I say!  Ten!  This is madness!..actually it wasn't too bad.  My pace was 1:24 and I got 1:24 on most of them...I can't remember.  As I ran some dude called me and JP cute so JP went over and starts flirting! sheesh!  No, we were running!  There's no time for that junk!

Today we met at 6 to go on our run just for mia's sake.  It was kinda quiet but we started playing 20 questions then we all wouldn't shut up!  It was a really fun run and I'm glad I got it over with so early in the morning! ...got the run over with...not the other kind of 'over with'...just to clarify.

AM-Ran with Mia last minute so she wouldn't be alone.  I thought I was supposed to get 5:16's again for the mile repeats. 5:16's?  What am I thinking!  I mean 6:16's!  But my time went up and I was unaware and am truly sorry coach.   But my times were 6:16, 6:16, 6:16 then 6:20. 

PM-Ran 3 out to Hot Nails aks Cold Hammers.  Get it?  See what I did there?  Do you get it?  Anyways, it was a good run and afterwards I did striders

AM-Ran the 8 mile tempo with JP, Megan, and Mia.  We tried to stick to our pace...but I'm pretty sure the watch broke or something.  Actually we couldn't really even see the watch because it was so dark and mia didn't remember how to turn the light on.  We did our best though and tried our best to get the right pace. 

PM-Ran 3 with the JaPeeZee and plyos afterwards.  Then I waited forever and got an Icee! Thanks JP!

Ran twelve 400's.  It was just grand...I felt a little stiff on the first couple but then I got more warmed up and used to them.  I was aiming to hit 1:24 and I got 1:25, 1:23, 1:22, 1:22, 1:24, 1:23, 1:23, 1:24, 1:22, 1:24, 1:23, 1:23.  Whew!  My heart rate was 100, 100, 105. Twas a good workout!

AM-Ran a normal 3 with plyos afterwards.

PM-Ran 5 out to the firestation.  It went by pretty quick and we got to show Ali and Megan the lovely doll head tree...turns out that Aubrey secretly lives there!  Twas a good run.  Except for the part where these weird boys kept yelling at JP and trying to get her number!  JP almost did but I pulled her away!  Afterwards JP and I did long jump practice. 

Later PM-I ran to my neighbors to get sponsor money and I'm counting it for mileage.  Sue me.

PM-Ran hills...mmm...tasty.  We had 8 to do and all was well and then coach told me I had to do 10!  But honestly, they weren't that bad and the girls cheered for me which really helped.  It was a good run...for the most part!

Met up with Mia, Liz, and ...i think that was it.  We ran 6 to green springs and included 2 miles of tempo.  It was kinda fun and Mia kept trying to sneak up on me but she's just too noisy!  Twas a good run!

Ran in the morning with Jon (my sisters husband...not some romantic interest...fyi)  I got my 20 minutes of tempo in but I wasn't able to do my full mileage because we had to get going to Provo!  Felt pretty good and kept a good pace for the entire thing.  Jon said I was between 6:15 and 6:20 for the entire tempo

Ran with Jon again at night.  I did 2 sets of hills. 800, 400, then a 200.  I wasn't able to do all three because it was getting dark and Jon had to go...lame excuses, i know.  But I felt kinda poopy...maybe from sitting in the car so much.  I think my pace was a lot faster than usual because I didn't want to look like a wimp in front of Jon so I felt like a pushed a little harder than usual.

Kanab Invite today!....and its my birthday!  I started by running the 2 mile.  I felt really good and stuck on this girl the whole time and sprinted her out the last 200.  My time was 11:43 and qualified me for state!  Wahoo!  Afterwards I did the long jump...pahaha.  what a joke.  I jumped a 13' something...and came in 13th place actually!  Which is much better than I expected!  After I ran the 1 mile and I didn't feel AS great as I did in the 2 mile.  I passed these 2 girls the last 200 and got 1st in that one as well with a time of 5:38.  Not my best...but I think it was because I was tired.  A little after that I had the 800 in the medley and by this time I was just ready to go home.  I wasn't feeling that great and was out of energy but I did my best and was able to pass a girl.  It was a fun yet very tiring meet!  The highlight was when Coach and Paul so kindly gave me cookies as a birthday gift!

PM-Ran mile repeats today!  My time I was trying to hit was 6:08 and I got 6:03, 6:07, 6:08 and 6:07.  So it was a good hard workout.  Running with the boys really pushes me...even though they get in the way sometimes!  But coach really helped me out and he even served as my personal drafter!  Weights afterwards.

PM-Ran to sandburgs!  I absolutely love this run!  We dipped our legs in...we were going to jump in but some girl...I won't say names but she's kinda asian and has medium long brown hair and a dazzling smile...anyways, this anonymous girl wouldn't jump in with me so we just got out and ran back.  It was a fun run though!

AM-good ol' 3 to arctic circle

PM-Ran 5 800's today!  And boy it was a tough workout.  I kept trying to think like it was a mini race and I need to just relax and push but my legs felt kinda worn out and I wasn't doing as well as I usually do.  My time I was to get was 2:48 and I got 2:50, 2:50, 2:52 then a 2:46.  The last one coach helped me a butt load and had me sprint it in.  It was hard but good to end the workout on a good note like that.  Afterwards we had weights

AM-Ran the usual 3

PM- Pine View Invite!  I was super super super nervous...which hasn't happened in a long while..which made me even more nervous!  We ran DI loop before and then checked in blah blah blah.  I felt pretty good the whole time but it felt really fast (duh.) and I felt like I was pushing pretty hard.  I knew I had to kick at the end and get Canyon View, and I was able to.  And I got a new PR by 5 seconds!  So that was good!  And frida came!!!  Pretty much the best day of my life!  No Joke!

2nd day of the Invite!  I ran the DI loop with all the girls then checked in and warmed up and such.  I didn't feel as nervous today.  Maybe because Frida was there calming me down!  In the seeded 2 mile I could feel myself kinda settling with the Timpanogos girl but coach yelling at me got me back to pushing and passing girls.  I tried to pick up my pace the last lap and I kicked at the 200 and was able to pass 3 more girls including a Park City girl! which doesn't happen everyday!  I was pretty happy with it and I got 9th overall which was better than my mile placing and I also got a new PR of 11:30!  

My next race was the medley and I wasn't really nervous for this one as much.  I felt really good although I should have passed that girl sooner but other than that, it felt pretty good!  I think my split was a 2:36

AM-3 in the morning 

PM-Ran the Harts warm up and had 4 1200's to do.  My time that I needed to get on my 400's was 1:30 and 1:26-1:28 on the third lap.  The first 3 I kept getting the same time on the third lap and I couldn't get myself to speed up. Frida paced me on my 4th one and helped me by a ton and I got a 1:27 for that 3rd lap.  After those we had 2 300sprints.  They were kinda hard and wore me out.  By the time we did the Harts cool down I was dead and pooped out!  Weights afterwards.

PM-Ran 4 with the boys to Green Springs.  I loved running with the boys!  it was just so much fun and I can't wait to do it again!;)...but it really wasn't that bad.  It was a good run and afterwards we did striders and then helped with the meet!   OH and how could I forget!  Aubrey, Liz and Megan found a baby hummingbird and so I picked it up and we all safely put him in a place where he'd be okay!  His name was Pip-squeak and was the cutest thing in the whole wide world!

AM-Today we had a workout in the morning!  Say what?  Yeah, I was caught off guard and had only drunk some milk for a mini breakfast!  If I had known I would've had eggs, toast, bacon, orange juice with lots of pulp, a muffin, two helpings of oatmeal and a dash of hash browns.  Okay, maybe not that much food but I wished I had eaten more than just milk.  We ran pizza hut warm up and I had 12 200's.  The first six were supposed to be 41 seconds but me and Aubrey kept hitting 40sec. pretty consistently.  The next 6 needed to be 1-2 seconds faster and Aubrey and I did fine on those as well.  My very last two I was alone so I kinda went a bit faster than needed...but oh well.  I got 34sec. then 31sec.  I credit the 31sec. to the boys because they pushed me a ton and as I ran by coach I'm 80% sure he said "Go with the boys" ...that, or he said "Toes give me joys"...and I'm assuming he said the first one...but you never know with Holt!  

PM- Ran 4 to Sandburgs and had 4 200's afterwards.  I felt worn out on the run.  Probably from this morning's workout but other than that it was a great run!

AM- Ran the usual 3 to arctic circle

PM-Hurricane Invite today!  We all warmed up and waited forever for the race to start!  We ended up warming up like 5 times because it was just taking so long!  Eventually the race started and I got cut off and had to jump up so I wouldn't get tripped but I got up to Kamryn and stuck right with her.  I kept with her on the first two laps then on the third I passed her and didn't really see her again.  And on the final lap I picked up my pace and started going strong at the 300 and I started my sprint at the 200.  Coach was yelling my time on the last 100 straightaway so that helped me give everything left that I had so I could get a good time.  It was a good race and I'm glad I was able to get a new PR of 5:28 but I'm determined next time to not let myself stick behind people when I should be around them.  I feel like its a subliminal wall that I'm unconsciously afraid to pass people and just go off.  But I'm going to break it! :)

AM-Today we had 8 with 20 min tempo.  It started out really good and felt fine and flippin Frida was just cruising along right by me!  She's such a beast!  But anyways she kept me at a good pace of around 6:30 and I was needing 6:28's so it was really close.  From the turnaround to the end I really tried to push the tempo and keep it at a good pace but it stayed around 6:34.  We stopped and waited for the other girls and then ran back which felt kinda long but not too bad since we were all talking.

PM-Ran 3.83...I was assured by some swedish girl that it would only be 3 but, unfortunately, I was lied to!  Frida and I met at the fields and Mia met us at her corner then Liz met us at hers and we all ran back around the hill to the MacLellans house and by that time I had run 3.83 which isn't all that bad.  It was kinda hot out today, but a good run!

Today we met up at Frida's and ran around down by Mia's and over to my house and at my house we started our 10min. tempo.  It felt pretty nice and I think I kept a good pace for the whole thing.  It ended going up a hill so that was kind of tough but it wasn't too bad.  Hooray for no doubles today!

AM-This morning I had 4 1mile repeats at a pace of 6:02.  I wasn't feeling too great from all the Easter junk I ate yesterday so I was kind of nervous.  My times ended up being 6:01, 6:03, 6:02 then 6:06.  The last one I was pooped and was just trying to finish as hard as I could.  Had weights afterwards.

PM-Ran 3 with Megan and Liz.  We made up our own run going out the back fence of Pine View and running around there.  It was a good run and I had fun talking to the girls!  On the way back we came the same way and went through the ditches and deserty place again back from the school, and I totally biffed it on the bigger ditch!  Besides being super embarrassed, I fell kinda funny on my ankle and now it's really hurting.  I've broken it before so I'm kinda worried because its the same foot that I've broken.  My mom said that we'll go check it out if it still hurts by tomorrow morning.

PM-Had eight 400's at 1:20 pace with 1min. recovery between each one. All eight of them were in the range of 1:18 to 1:21.  It was a tough workout mostly because the recovery time was so short but it went by fast.

PM-Ran 4 to the double churches with Roberto.  Mia and I were having troubles running because we kept laughing at our own dumb jokes.  We also found some nasty 5 week old ginger candy and roberts just popped it in his mouth...it was slightly disgusting!  We had striders afterwards with mole contests included.

PM-Today I had 4 mile repeats at 6:02.  My times were 6:03, 6:02, 6:02 and 6:10.  I felt okay on the first two but at the end of the second one I got the worst side ache and it slowly went away in the third.  My last one I was just tired and didn't feel very good and fell off my pace.  Then we had weights afterwards and me and JP bumped our weights up and it didn't feel too hard.  but I have to tell you something coach!!!...or whoever is reading this.  So I look at my email and Nate Houle had emailed me and he offered me a running scholarship!!! I'm super super super super super super SUPER excited!!!! :):):):):)

AM-morning 3

PM- Today we had 2 sets of a 600, 400, 300, 200, then a 100.  It was faster than race pace and it wasn't too hard like I'd thought it would be.  The 600 and 400 were kinda tough because they were longer but the rest were totally fine.  I hit above or right on on all of my times which was good.  It was a good workout!

AM-Ran 3 with mia in the fields since I wasn't feeling good but talked myself into running close by. 

PM-Desert Hells Invite today!  I honestly was a bit scared because I had a super sore throat all yesterday and today and I just wasn't feeling myself but I just tried to keep positive and talk myself into feeling better.  My start of the race was really bad because I got elbowed by some crazy lehi girl...so I slipped out of the pack and ran back up.  I wasn't feeling so great on my 3rd lap and fell a little behind but on the beginning of the 4th I could here girls about to try and pass me so I sped up and finished the best I could.  I ended up with a 5:21 which is my new PR by 7 seconds!  And I'm qualified for state!  I was super excited but I wish I hadn't been feeling so sick.  But it was a very good race considering and I'm really happy about it! :)

This morning I wasn't feeling too sick so I was happy about that...maybe it was because of the fact that I was taking vitamins and herb pills like crazy last night.  But whatever it was, I was happy I was feeling better.  I was a little nervous about the start because I got shoved around in the mile so I made sure to go out faster and I ended up taking the lead which kinda surprised me and at the first 100 mark I was wondering where everyone was and if I was just going way to fast or if they disappeared.  But eventually everything went to normal except the canyon view girl was taking a while to back off.  I kept with the Lehi girls and I could tell I felt a little more tired than I usually do which kind of scared me but I was able to keep going.  I ended up with 2nd and the girl behind me was like 10sec. away.  I got a new PR of 11:21 by 9 seconds and I was super happy!  Not long after the 2 mile I had the 800.  I went out and just tried to keep a fast pace but I felt like I was moving my legs as fast as they could go and I wasn't going anywhere.  I think I was a bit pooped from the 2 mile but I just did my best and ended up with a 2:30...or 2:29...somewhere right in there.  It was a new PR, which I was happy about!

I didn't run this morning due to me feeling sick and I wanted to make sure I got rid of it.  So our afternoon workout was 4 1600 repeats.  My time was 6:02 and I got a 5:55 then a 6:05.  My second one felt pretty bad and I just wasn't feeling myself.  For the last two I only did 800's and got a 2:55 then a 2:53 which is about where I should have been for the miles.  Then I just jogged around while I waited for the girls and my stomach felt like it was twisted into a knot or something...I just wasn't feeling too swell!  Afterwards we had weights.

PM-Today we had a different workout.  We started with a 100 sprint and then added 10 meters each time until we got up to a 200.  I basically got all of my times that I was supposed to get.  Some were a tad faster but not by much.  It was a good workout!  We even found a little poly pocket doll thingy that had no face...we named her Jennifer.

PM-Today we had the Dixie Invite.  For some reason I just wasn't feeling myself.  My mom and I had kinda discussed/fought if I should go to morning practice.  I honestly had been feeling super tired and worn down but my mom insisted I go because I need to be a good example.  ...she won.  But I was still feeling very worn out before my race and I was really nervous about it.  It was an alright race but I just wasn't feeling very good so I pushed as hard as I could and finished 5th with a 5:21 which is my PR from last race...so for a bad race, it was really good!...if that makes sense.

Today I started out by running the 2 mile.  I got a good breakfast and good night sleep so I was feeling a bit better.  Coach had me stay under 45sec for each 200 which was probably good because it pushed me when I wasn't feeling all too great.  The ogden girl and canyon view girl passed me and so I passed the canyon view girl but I didn't even think of going with the ogden girl...which was dumb of me!  My time wasn't my best but I'm sure that next week will be better and I'll be able to get a new PR for sure!  Everyone has a rough week, right? ...because this one was mine!  I also had the 800 in the medley today.  I think my time was a 2:30...or something like that.  We were in the first heat which helped me calm down because I was confident I could pass all the girls.  My team did super awesome and got me the baton in 1st and I kept it up and tried to get a good time for my team.

AM- Lovely 3 in da morning!

PM-Ran 4 mile repeats today.  My goal time was 6:02 and I got 6:03, 6:10, 6:14, then 6:07.  I was all by myself today and I could feel myself slowing but it was just so hard to keep up the pace...and it was deathly hot which didn't help at all.  The last mile coach helped me finish much stronger which really helped but I was honestly pretty discouraged at my times I got.

PM-Today we had 8 400's.  My goal time was 1:16.  I got 1:16's and 1:17's for the first 5 then my 6th and 7th were 1:15's and my last one was a 1:10!  It was a super good workout!  It went by pretty quick and it gave me hope since Monday was such a poopy workout.

Davis Meet today!  I got some mileage in from warming up and cooling down with JP...or maybe we didn't cool down...I think Byron wanted lunch too bad so we skipped that.  Whoopsie!  After waiting forever, taking naps, watching a few races here and there, it was finally my turn.  I wasn't nervous until I started warming up and then I started to get focused and what not.  JP and I warmed up and jumped in some sprinklers and all that good stuff.  I was placed 8th and one of my goals was to get a medal which meant I had to get 6th or above.  I had a good start and the 1st mile went by really slow for me, but after the 5th lap it went by way fast.  I knew I had to kick my last 400 in so I wouldn't give the 2 girls ahead of me a chance and I knew if I passed them I could be 6th.  The 5th place girl was slowing down and I know if I had been feeling better I could have gotten her too.  I came in at 11:22 which is my same PR..it was kinda weird because I felt like I had pushed way hard and did my best but I got the same time. It was a pretty good race but I know that I can still PR even in the higher altitudes.

AM-Woke up late and had to run on my own.

PM-Today I had a 2 mile at 12:00 then 3 more 1600 repeats at 5:56.  I 'm not gonna lie, I was really scared for this workout, especially because it was the first day in the 90's.  The 2 mile was pretty good and coach helped me stay calm and paced and I got a 12:06.  I thought of it as a race which made it seem like I was going slow so I think that helped me mentally.  After we finished though I just felt really dizzy and my stomach was tight.  I got some water which helped and the sprinkler on the track helped a ton also.  Then coach and I started on 1600's but as we came to the 1000 mark coach said we'd stop there and we did 2 more 1000's.  I don't remember my time on the 1st 1000 but my times on the other two were 2:43 then 2:42.  It was a tiring workout but I know it was good for me.  So glad all of our meets from here on are up north where its cooler!

PM-Got up to BYU today and JP and I did the steeple chase!  We were super nervous and scared we'd make fools of ourselves but it wasn't even that bad...in fact, it was probably the funnest race I've done in a long time!  I came in 4th and got a free top finisher shirt which only added to the fun-ness of the race!   

Ran later on around the hotel.  Almost peed my pants multiple times from laughing so hard!

Ran all over BYU campus and almost made it to the MTC to find Jessica...almost!  We were only like 5 miles off..  It was a super fun run with art appreciation breaks and marriage ceremonies!  I'm pleased to announce that JP and I are married again after getting married last year...then getting divorced...and now we're married again...it's been rough okay? ;)

I started off by racing the 1600.  I felt fine besides the nerves.  My mind set wasn't that great though and I didn't start my dead sprint at the 200 like I usually do.  I finished feeling very frustrated with myself because I got 5:21 again.  I cooled down alone and just thought it out about my race and how I need to trust myself.  I decided then that I was going to do better on my 800 and force myself to sprint earlier.  The 800 was a lot better and I got a new PR of 2:28.  I was supposed to be 17th but I came in 8th which boosted me up a little.

PM- Region today!  I raced the mile with Mia and Liz.  We had a huge heat of like 23 girls and I was placed for 3rd.  The start was fine and I was right behind Amie.  Amie got a lead and it stayed that way for the rest of the race.  I stayed in 2nd for the whole race and sprinted in as 2nd.  My time wasn't my best but it's hard with not so many people right around your time to push you so I wasn't too worried about it.

AM-3 in da morn.

PM- Started off the meet with the 2 mile.  I was placed as first and I was determined to be region champ.  I kept the lead for most the race.  I think Kamryn took over on lap 5 and 6 then around the end of  7 I took it back and for the final lap I knew I had to push it in so she wouldn't have a chance.  I started picking it up at the 300 and then at the 200 I started my sprint.  The noisy announcer dude got my name wrong at the end and said 'Here comes Kamryn down the home stretch!"  So I thought Kamryn was right behind me so my absolute dead sprint came out and I couldn't even feel my legs!  I just kept going because I thought she was behind me!...Then I finished and look back and she's still back there..but oh well, the announcer man just helped me with my sprint and I was region champ!  hooray!  The 800 was pretty cray cray.  I was placed as 7th so my goal was to get 7th and get the team some points.  The whole race was one huge mosh pit...I'm not even kidding!  Everyone was shoving and pushing and elbowing and it was just crazy!!  My legs weren't as fresh because I had run the 2 mile but I did my best and finished hard.  I got 8th but the 1st girl in the 1st heat of girls beat me so I bumped down to 9th...that made me kinda bummed.

No morning practice today!  Wahoo!  Our workout was 100, 200, 300, then a 400.  All at an all out speed.  My legs were super tired and just from the warm up I could feel them aching.  I think it's just because they're used to a break after meets.  I did my best on them though and it went by pretty quick.  It was just me and JP representing the girls team...I already miss all our girls!  Why do I have to graduate!?!

Today I went out and decided I would only run 5 because I wasn't feeling my best but I accidently ran 6.  It wasn't too bad and I'm glad that I did.  I got a charlie horse last night so my right calf was super sore for my run but put some stuff on it after my run and now it's feeling better, thankfully!  I ran around Mia's neighborhood and just did loops there and listened to a podcast on this 112 yr. old guy...pretty much he said if you want to be as old as him you need to eat olive oil, no sugar and be moderate in what you do...and my running isn't very moderate so I quit in consideration for my future self! ..psh, I wish! ;)

So today I had to do a hilly run.  My first thought was roller coaster hills but my mom hates me running alone...I almost had her convinced when she found out that a lady had committed suicide over there...yeah, and as you can imagine it did not help..at all.  So my choices were to go to the rec center and run on an 'artificial' hill on a treadmill.  So I ran 2 miles around their track to warm up and then ran the next four on the treadmill.  I would go up at a 15% incline..if that means anything to anyone...it was actually pretty steep and it wore me out quick...especially since there's no top of the hill to see and work towards to!  Then I'd take little breaks by flattening out the treadmill.  It was kinda a tough workout and I got really sweaty.  Pretty sure the lady next to me was disgusted because I had to wipe my face every 5 seconds!  Oh well!

Today I had a workout..yay!  It was a 400,600,400,600x3.  We got a 90sec break between each run and a 2 1/2min. break between each set...make sense?  Prolly not because they had to explain it to me like 5 times before I got it.  Our 400's averaged around 1:22sec. and our 600's (which were on the grass) were around a 2:10.  So it was a decent pace but after you've done so many of them...they felt like you were going at lightning speed.  I ran later in the day because of classes so it was just me and Dayna so it made it kinda hard with no girls around.  But I made it through and Dayna really pushed me the entire time.

Today was a normal run on our own so I called Morgan and we ran together.  We ran up the canyon and then into those mountians on the side.  We got kinda lost because there's a billion bike trails to follow so we just kinda made it up.  The view was so pretty though and we made it back exactly at 6 miles so it all worked out!

Today we had a 60% run.  We ran out into the boonies of Cedar where all the farmers live.  The first mile was normal and the next 5 miles were at a 6:30 pace.  The last mile the pack pulled away but I still hit a 6:20 so I was glad I kept it consistent at least.  I wanted to push it with the pack but I wasn't feeling too great this morning.  After we ran a 1/2 mile cool down and rode back to SUU in coach houles truck!

Today we were supposed to have a speed workout but is was SOOO windy!  Like you have no idea.  3 huge pine trees on campus blew over and hit some buildings...it was pretty cray cray.  So we just ran 6 out onto the farm run and coach drove us back to the track.  Then we finished our mileage at the track.  And then I got to host some recruits for the night and they were the coolest people ever!  I just wish they were already on our team!   Hopefully they'll decide to run for SUU!

Workout day!  Woot, I just love these days!  I had class during the normal girls workout time so I had to do it later with Dayna.  We met up and the boys were in the middle of their workout so we warmed up and had Nigel start us up.  Our workout was 50%-80% mile repeats.  So we'd do a mile up on the grass at a 7:15 pace and then go down onto the track and run a mile at a 6:00 pace. We had 3 sets.  The 50% is the most important part and I got a 6:02, 5:56 and a 6:00 so I was right in range which was good.  It was just hard running with no pack.  Dayna got ahead pretty easily and being alone made it hard to keep a good pace, but I'm happy I was able to stay in range.

Today I we left at 5am and drove to Vegas, flew to Seattle, then flew to Bozeman, Montana.  And I was sick.  It was miserable.  I got a sore throat last night and it had gotten worse and worse.  For our run we ran around this park in Bozeman and I only ran 3 with Sierra because she was having hip problems and I was sick.  It was super pretty there and everyone was out with their dogs (everyone in Bozeman has a dog we found out).  Running actually felt like it helped and I was taking medicine like a madman all day.  I need to be well for Conference Championships!!

Today we ran the course in Bozeman and did our usual 1000 and practiced starts.  I'm still feeling pretty poopy but running seemed to help my congestion clear up.  The course is pretty nice and is one big loop so that's pretty nice.

Today I woke up and was feeling a lot better and I was super grateful for that!  We got there an hour early and warmed up, stretched, got some pep talks and started the race.  By mile 1 I could tell that I wasn't feeling my usual self and was more tired.  I decided to just stick it in and do my very best.  I had a dead sprint for the last 200 and passed 10 or so girls and was so dizzy when I finished.  I just hate being sick.  I didn't come in my usual spot for the team but I did get a new PR which was great considering that I was feeling poopy.  Coach Houle told me that he was proud with how well I did even though I was sick so that made me feel better too.  And our girls team came in 5th!  Houle was saying how at the beginning of the year he expected us to be lucky to come in the top 10 so getting 5th was amazing for such a young team.

Today we ran 6 to Bicenntenial Park.  Sounds just dandy right?  Well you sounded wrong!!...that didn't really make any sense.  It was freezing outside and snowing and freezing and freezing!  My eyes were eating all the snow and my nose was running and I had a headache and I was wet and cold and crying.  Okay, I wasn't crying...  I've only run in snow like once in my life...well twice now...but it is just an experiance that I'm not too fond of!  Hopefully it'll get better and I'll get used to this!  Because this weather is going to be here for about 5 more months.  Words cannot describe how excited I am.  One the bright side,  I'm not in Logan.

Today Me and Dayna did the workout together at 3:45 since we both had class during the normal practice time.  We had 50-80% mile repeatsx3.  Our goal time for the 80% miles was 6:00 and I got a 5:48, 5:53, and a 5:49. So it was super good workout and I was able to stick with Dayna the whole time and even pass her on the last one.  I think I'm not sick anymore! :)

Today we had a workout.  It was an 1000 at a 3:35 and then you go right into an 800 at a 3:45 and then back into an 1000 at a 3:35 agian.  And we did that whole thing twice!  Me and Kaylee call this workout 80-50 Poop.  Because it's basically like the 80-50 mile repeats but smaller distances.  It was a good workout but my shin started to hurt so coach told me to go get taped and once I got taped he had me jump back into the workout so I missed one of the 1000's.  But the tape helped and I was glad I didn't miss too much of the workout!

Today I had to do the workout by myself because I was at home taking care of my sister Mary and couldn't go up for practice.  First off, I'm pretty proud I even did it because I woke up late and missed my window that I wanted to go.  But nonetheless, I went!  After waiting forever for my Garmin to load I started and ran out to the intersection by Summit Athletics and then turned around.  I had a tempo for 5 miles at a 6:25-6:45 pace and I was right around 6:30-6:40 the whole time.  The last half mile I picked it up and got around the 6:20's.  It was hard doing it by myself but was also kinda nice and relaxing.  After I got back to my house I ran a mile to cool down.  the end!

Wow...I start posting on here again and I get bullied!  You're a punk coach!  Anyways, today we ran 6x1000's at 3:25 to 3:45 pace.  Coach wanted us at 3:25 but it didn't quite happen.  We stayed right around 3:35-3:40.  I was able to stay with the main pack and come in as the middle-ish for all of them.  It was a hard workout...probably because we've never done 6 before.  But I was able to stick with it and finish strong so I was happy.

Coach Houle is keeping us at medium mileage today so I ran 7 with Sheri and Paige today.  Houle also gave me a really hard time for my form today...he does it every day but today was worse. He said I was like a bad habit and Coach Holt had called him and told him that I was a problem...pretty sure he was lying but I wouldn't be surprised if Holt had said that. ;)  But I really am trying to improve my form!  Also my hamstring really hurts and I don't know what to do.  I took an ice bath and rolled it with a foam roller but it still hurts.  I dont know if anyone reads this, but if you are...do you have any suggestions?

Today I was super excited to race at regionals.  Freshman don't usually get to do this so I was just so happy that I was able to :) ...and I was also super nervous.  The race went really good and I felt really strong.  It was my second 6k and it felt a lot better than my first one in Cali did but my time wasn't as good as it was in California.  It was a solid race and a good one to end the season on.

Today we started up practice again.  I was a bit worried since I slacked off on my 2 miles.  We ran a warm up mile then did 3 miles at 60% pace which was around 6:30 and then did a cool down mile.  I felt really good and it was nice to go fast again.  I stayed up with Shelli  the whole time...well most the time.  I fell off a bit and the other girls were back behind me and then we went through this intersection.  I followed the way Shelli went but it had changed by the time I got there so someone yelled at me so I switched and ended up running in the middle of the intersection.  So I started screaming and sped up even though no cars was around...instinct, I guess!  But that made me catch up to Shelli which was nice!

Today I ran with my Padre in the mountians of Arizona.  And by run with my dad, I mean I ran ahead and turned back every now and then so he wouldn't lose sight of me. He did way good though because he's never run this far.  It was a good run and super pretty with all the pines and stuff!

Today my parents kicked me out of the car and made me run while they followed in the car.  We went on this road out on the national forest and were on the lookout for wild mustangs that were on the land.  Their poop and hoof prints were everywhere but we never were able to find them.  The run went by fast but was boring with no one to talk to...my mom would occasionally speed up, pass me and yell something but I never could understand her so I just smiled and kept running.

So today I ran out in the mountians of Arizona again.  My dad decided he'd take the car this time.  It was freezing outside and foggy...pretty much I was running in a freezing cloud.  The road was icy at parts and I even started slipping....my father, the man who was making sure I wasn't getting stolen or anything, didn't even notice my apparant struggle.  Although he did notice when I was getting chased by 2 dogs.  They popped out and I just stood there yelling at them while my dad proceeded to save me by speeding to me at a whopping 2mph.  He seriously took forever to get to me.  After we lost them I continued running and when I got back I showed my dad how my gloves had frozen because I wiped my sweat...gross I know, but everyone wipes their sweat...don't even deny it.  And he gave me funny look because guess what?!  My hair had frozen.  I had icicles on my hair line and on the little hairs that didn't fit in my pony.  It was super cool but kinda gross...but mostly cool.  Literally.  Get it?  Because it really was cold and it was cool?!?  Okay, this entry was way long and I'm going to stop now.

Today I ran 10 with Kaylee, Sheri, Dayna and Ashley.  We started out with a lot more people but they all went on shorter runs and turned at different points.  The run was super long...maybe because it was 10 miles...but Kaylee and I talked about our break the whole time so that helped.

Today I ran 6 in the morning with Sierra and I ran 4 later with Sheri at 12.  Both were good runs and the afternoon run we even stopped at Great Harvest for a free slice of bread.  Um best thing ever.  That's my new favorite run.

Today I ran 6 in the morning by myself since poor Kaylee Boyer was too tired.  I ran to the PE building and ran on the indoor track.  40 laps.  Yep thats right, 40 laps around the track to get 4 miles.  It got rather boring but I knew I could run my miles faster in the dry and warm indoors rather than outside on the icy sidewalk.  So I kept going and going and going and going.  When I was done I ran back to my apartment.  It was so slippery and so I made a game to see how far I could slide and soon I was just lauging my head off because it was so fun...people probably thought I was crazy but I don't care!  Then later I ran with Sheri and Paige.  We ran Main Street thinking the sidewalks would be cleared...boy were we wrong.  We had to run on the edge of the road and cars would spray us with brown slush snow.  It was actually kinda fun because the whole run was a challenge to find where to run and how to stay out of cars way.

Way to get your run in. Just remember, back in my day we didn't have any indoor track. We once ran 12 miles on the track during a blizzard with coach in front of us with a snow plow on the gator.

Today we had a 60% run.  I wasn't expecting it and I didn't even feel like running.  I was just having an awful day.  So when we started I was certian I was going to just fall off and have to get picked up by coach.  But I stayed with the top pack the entire time and I was feeling really good.  I was able to finish strong right along with Ashley, Dayna and Kaylee.  I was happy I was able to stick it up there and not let my personal stuff interrupt my running.  After we finished we were all super sweaty and hot and we had to run all the way back to the school with the wind going against us.  Yeah, we all froze.  It was miserable.  It went by quick though for a 10 mile run.  At the end I slipped on some ice and fell on my side so the side of my hip is super super super sore.  It hurt so bad.  I'm not sure if I'll run on it tomorrow.

Today I went out and was planning on running alone.  I even had a knife in one of my pockets...  But Ashley and her husband Hayden Hawkes ran by and asked me to join them!  So I did and ran my whole run with them.  It was fun too because they talked a lot and it made the run go by so much faster.  After the run I went and picked up this goodie bag that all the student athletes got for finals.  It was filled with a bunch of snacks and candy...running in college is the best! ;)

Today was supposed to be a 6mile run with 3 miles tempo....But I went running with Ashley Grey/Hawkes and she needed to go more so we decided on 8.  We started at my house and ran to Walmart then turned around and started the tempo.  First off, Ashley is known for always pushing the pace on our 60% runs so halfway to the turnaround I was thinking 'Crap.  Why am I running with this girl.  She's going to take off and kill this tempo...I am going to die.'  But I tried not to think that way and just go with her.  I admit, we were booking it.  We were supposed to be hitting a 6:35 or around there but I look at my watch and we're at a 5:45....um yeah.  But it started to even out and we stayed around 6:15-6:20.  We ended and I was a little behind her but not much.  She pushed me and it honestly was a good thing for me.  I'm glad I was able to run with her and get a good workout in.

Today I ran with Ashley Grey again.  Her husband Hayden Hawkes and his friend Aaron ran with us too.  It was a good run and Aaron is a super funny guy except the way he runs made dirt fling right into my face if I was behind him.  We ran out behind Dixie Rock and ran out to Winchester Hill.  There were some nasty hills but Ashley kept me going and I didn't stop once which I was quite proud of myself.  I was supposed to go 12 today but I've been feeling out of it since I got those shots so I decided to cut it down just a tad.  It was a great run though and I love talking with Ashley.  She's such an awesome girl!
