AM-Arctic Circle

PM-Today we ran 7 on the Green Springs Loop.  It went by supah fast and i got the great joy of talking with taylor and liz future lifes!  It was a good run.  We had weights and plyos after.  My left shin hurts SO bad...I'll ice it and stuff but I've never had shin splints before!

PM-Speed workout! Hoorah..we had six 800's at an interval pace which was like 3:08.  But we started as 3:04 then steadily into the two's.  Coach ran with us and it was so nice!  He runs like he's going slow, so I think I'm going slow..so I just feel great!  But I felt like he really pushed me.  But my shins hurt like crap..

AM-Ran Arctic Circle and my shin feels no better despite all the time I spent icing it and rolling my leg!  It hurts to just walk on it now too!  So now coach let me off a couple days to get better

Ran on the track today with JP.  Our shins are starting to feel better, but after our mini workout it hurt so bad!  But we did all the stretches and such...so hopefully that helped

Ran on the track with JP again.  My shins feel slightly better.  But we kept losing count of what lap we're on...so i'm not sure we ran it all!

Ran to green springs with everyone!  I wanted to go farther but I'm not sure my legs would let me!  my shins hurt pretty bad...they felt fine the whole weekend until me and my dad had to go on a mad chase for Mary at walmart....because we kinda lost her while we were looking at some rugs...but she's safe and sound..dont you worry!

Ran four 800's with everyone at interval pace.  Me and Jp had to stretch our shins while everyone else did 200's.  They're starting to feel better and the 800's felt fine while i was running them

Ran green springs loop with 20min. tempo.  I tried to tell Kaylee that my poor little shins couldn't handle it but she made me do it anyway...and I felt fine.  I stuck with Kaylee for the whole tempo but fell a little behind at the last part...only because she sped off to say hi to her dad who rode by!

I consider our angels landing hike to count as 3 miles...it was tough stuff!

Ran 5 in Coral Canyon...worst place to run...ever!  First of all, it was really hot and secondly, coral canyon is just not the place to run.  It's full of hills and creepers in the bushes!  I didn't feel very good during it and to make it worse...kaylee led us astray, that punk!  ...So I added a .05 to my mileage because of it!  But swimming afterwards felt pretty great!

So after a long process of debating where to run and if we should wear safety goggles and what not...we decided to run at the rec center!  After passing through tight security we ran 2 miles on the treadmills while watching puppies, harry potter, and nascar.  After 2 miles we got bored and ran 1 on the track then 1 on the treadmill...and then its all a blur.  But it was fun i guess!

AM-3 to arctic circle

PM-Workout day..hooray!   We had 1200, 2x1000, 3x800 with DI warm/Hart's cool.  I must say that it was harder than it should've been! I guess I'm not really up to par with these full workouts or something because I did not feel like I normally do. but I made it

AM- the usual

PM-Today we ran to the church thingamabob.  Me and JP refused to run up foremaster so we chose the alternative run and ended up running by ourselves.  But whatever...it was worth it...i found a cool smoothie thingy.  Striders afterwards

AM-3

PM- Workout today...2x1000 and then 4x200 then repeat with DI warm/Hart's cool.  I felt like poo.  I relied of Frida greatly to get my spirits up.  I wanted to just quit and sit down and eat some ice cream while someone gave me a massage and fanned my face....is that too much to ask? ;)  But I made it...barely...I'm just so pooped from this week!

PM-Ran 5 in green springs and attempted to take a dip in one of the neighborhood fountain things...yeah, it didn't work out.  Afterwards we had 4 200's that felt kinda hard...but they weren't too bad.

AM-3 to arctic Circle

PM-Pine View Invite!  I was super excited today and tried to keep my nerves down so I wouldn't freak out.  But the race didn't turn out too well...and i don't know why!  I felt fine, I was confident but I just couldn't keep up or something.  I don't remember track being so fast!...I think I'm still stuck in the cross country mode and this race really took me by surprise.  But tomorrow I'm determined to be ready and do better.

Ran a 2 mile warmup.  I started the race out strong but once again I found it hard to keep up.  I was staying with Frida but some random man shouted that me and Frida were slowing down and so a billion girls passed us and separated me from Frida...and I never caught up...mistake #1.  I kept falling behind little by little but it wasn't as bad as the mile.  At the end I thought I was in last so I sprinted and ended up passing 2 more girls and qualifying for state!  ...that was pretty much my whole goal and I was excited for that!

AM-Arctic Circle

PM-Ran 8 miles with 4 sets of tempo mixed in it.  It was 2min. hard (1min. cool), 1min. hard (30sec. cool) then 30 sec. hard (30 sec. cool) then repeat....4 times!!!  I was dying by the third one and the fourth I pushed it hard just because I knew I was almost done.  But the rest of the run felt really long and slow.  Oh, and my shin is hurting like a ______(fill in the blank with something that hurts a lot...no vulgarness please!)  But really, it hurt way bad!!!  Especially after our tempo.  Me and Kaylee took an ice bath afterwards...which helped a ton...but I'm worried it'll be back tomorrow!  I hate this!...why can't my shins just feel fine and stop giving me grief!
