Today we ran the course in Bozeman and did our usual 1000 and practiced starts.  I'm still feeling pretty poopy but running seemed to help my congestion clear up.  The course is pretty nice and is one big loop so that's pretty nice.

Today I woke up and was feeling a lot better and I was super grateful for that!  We got there an hour early and warmed up, stretched, got some pep talks and started the race.  By mile 1 I could tell that I wasn't feeling my usual self and was more tired.  I decided to just stick it in and do my very best.  I had a dead sprint for the last 200 and passed 10 or so girls and was so dizzy when I finished.  I just hate being sick.  I didn't come in my usual spot for the team but I did get a new PR which was great considering that I was feeling poopy.  Coach Houle told me that he was proud with how well I did even though I was sick so that made me feel better too.  And our girls team came in 5th!  Houle was saying how at the beginning of the year he expected us to be lucky to come in the top 10 so getting 5th was amazing for such a young team.

Today we ran 6 to Bicenntenial Park.  Sounds just dandy right?  Well you sounded wrong!!...that didn't really make any sense.  It was freezing outside and snowing and freezing and freezing!  My eyes were eating all the snow and my nose was running and I had a headache and I was wet and cold and crying.  Okay, I wasn't crying...  I've only run in snow like once in my life...well twice now...but it is just an experiance that I'm not too fond of!  Hopefully it'll get better and I'll get used to this!  Because this weather is going to be here for about 5 more months.  Words cannot describe how excited I am.  One the bright side,  I'm not in Logan.

Today Me and Dayna did the workout together at 3:45 since we both had class during the normal practice time.  We had 50-80% mile repeatsx3.  Our goal time for the 80% miles was 6:00 and I got a 5:48, 5:53, and a 5:49. So it was super good workout and I was able to stick with Dayna the whole time and even pass her on the last one.  I think I'm not sick anymore! :)

Ran 6 with Sheri and Paige.  We went up the canyon to the end of the trail and just turned back.  It was so nice out and the canyon is such a pretty place to run!  Probs on of my favorite runs here!

Today we had a workout.  It was an 1000 at a 3:35 and then you go right into an 800 at a 3:45 and then back into an 1000 at a 3:35 agian.  And we did that whole thing twice!  Me and Kaylee call this workout 80-50 Poop.  Because it's basically like the 80-50 mile repeats but smaller distances.  It was a good workout but my shin started to hurt so coach told me to go get taped and once I got taped he had me jump back into the workout so I missed one of the 1000's.  But the tape helped and I was glad I didn't miss too much of the workout!

Today we ran Cross Hollows.  Spent most the run talking about old teammates with Kaylee.  It was good though because it made the run go super quick!

Today I had to do the workout by myself because I was at home taking care of my sister Mary and couldn't go up for practice.  First off, I'm pretty proud I even did it because I woke up late and missed my window that I wanted to go.  But nonetheless, I went!  After waiting forever for my Garmin to load I started and ran out to the intersection by Summit Athletics and then turned around.  I had a tempo for 5 miles at a 6:25-6:45 pace and I was right around 6:30-6:40 the whole time.  The last half mile I picked it up and got around the 6:20's.  It was hard doing it by myself but was also kinda nice and relaxing.  After I got back to my house I ran a mile to cool down.  the end!

Wow...I start posting on here again and I get bullied!  You're a punk coach!  Anyways, today we ran 6x1000's at 3:25 to 3:45 pace.  Coach wanted us at 3:25 but it didn't quite happen.  We stayed right around 3:35-3:40.  I was able to stay with the main pack and come in as the middle-ish for all of them.  It was a hard workout...probably because we've never done 6 before.  But I was able to stick with it and finish strong so I was happy.

Coach Houle is keeping us at medium mileage today so I ran 7 with Sheri and Paige today.  Houle also gave me a really hard time for my form today...he does it every day but today was worse. He said I was like a bad habit and Coach Holt had called him and told him that I was a problem...pretty sure he was lying but I wouldn't be surprised if Holt had said that. ;)  But I really am trying to improve my form!  Also my hamstring really hurts and I don't know what to do.  I took an ice bath and rolled it with a foam roller but it still hurts.  I dont know if anyone reads this, but if you are...do you have any suggestions?

Today I was super excited to race at regionals.  Freshman don't usually get to do this so I was just so happy that I was able to :) ...and I was also super nervous.  The race went really good and I felt really strong.  It was my second 6k and it felt a lot better than my first one in Cali did but my time wasn't as good as it was in California.  It was a solid race and a good one to end the season on.

Our mileage is being cut for the next little bit as a break from the season.  I really need this becuase my knee and hamstring have been really sore lately.  So today I ran a quick two at home in St. Geezy before going back to Cedar for class.

Today we started up practice again.  I was a bit worried since I slacked off on my 2 miles.  We ran a warm up mile then did 3 miles at 60% pace which was around 6:30 and then did a cool down mile.  I felt really good and it was nice to go fast again.  I stayed up with Shelli  the whole time...well most the time.  I fell off a bit and the other girls were back behind me and then we went through this intersection.  I followed the way Shelli went but it had changed by the time I got there so someone yelled at me so I switched and ended up running in the middle of the intersection.  So I started screaming and sped up even though no cars was around...instinct, I guess!  But that made me catch up to Shelli which was nice!

Today I ran six with Mia, Liz and Kaylee.  They had a hill workout and I did it all with them.  What was I thinking? I have no idea.  It was hard but not that bad and it was so much fun to talk with Mia and Liz again.

Today I ran with my Padre in the mountians of Arizona.  And by run with my dad, I mean I ran ahead and turned back every now and then so he wouldn't lose sight of me. He did way good though because he's never run this far.  It was a good run and super pretty with all the pines and stuff!

Today my parents kicked me out of the car and made me run while they followed in the car.  We went on this road out on the national forest and were on the lookout for wild mustangs that were on the land.  Their poop and hoof prints were everywhere but we never were able to find them.  The run went by fast but was boring with no one to talk to...my mom would occasionally speed up, pass me and yell something but I never could understand her so I just smiled and kept running.

So today I ran out in the mountians of Arizona again.  My dad decided he'd take the car this time.  It was freezing outside and foggy...pretty much I was running in a freezing cloud.  The road was icy at parts and I even started slipping....my father, the man who was making sure I wasn't getting stolen or anything, didn't even notice my apparant struggle.  Although he did notice when I was getting chased by 2 dogs.  They popped out and I just stood there yelling at them while my dad proceeded to save me by speeding to me at a whopping 2mph.  He seriously took forever to get to me.  After we lost them I continued running and when I got back I showed my dad how my gloves had frozen because I wiped my sweat...gross I know, but everyone wipes their sweat...don't even deny it.  And he gave me funny look because guess what?!  My hair had frozen.  I had icicles on my hair line and on the little hairs that didn't fit in my pony.  It was super cool but kinda gross...but mostly cool.  Literally.  Get it?  Because it really was cold and it was cool?!?  Okay, this entry was way long and I'm going to stop now.
